About Dr. Cheng

Dr. Michael Cheng is a psychiatrist at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario; an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa, and the co-founder of eMentalHealth.ca, which provides information to families and professionals about mental health and wellness.  


He helps families counteract the effects of modern society through traditional practices that for millennia, naturally attached our kids to people and activities that give a sense of purpose, belonging, hope and meaning.


As a parent of two school-aged children, he is also trying to simply survive during this unprecedented time.
